Information for International Customers

At Jellycat we strive to meet and exceed your highest expectations both with every item we sell and the service we provide wherever in the world it is being delivered. We hope that the following information regarding all deliveries outside of the UK will help with making your shopping choices.

• For customers based in the UK, Channel Islands and Isle of Man, our items are priced in British Pounds.
• For customers outside the UK, our items are priced in Euros.
• We currently offer delivery anywhere in the world, except for USA and Canada.
Value Added Tax (VAT)
Our advertised prices include VAT at the applicable rate. For most items, the VAT rate is 20%, with some exceptions such as books, which are zero rated for VAT purposes. Our VAT registration number in the UK is GB927290412.
Customers within the European Union
If your order is for delivery within the European Union, the prices charged will include VAT and we will quote our VAT registration number and the amount of VAT charged on your dispatch note.
Customers outside the European Union
If your order is for delivery outside the European Union, you do not need to pay VAT. Given that our advertised prices include VAT, whenever VAT does not apply, we will reduce the prices charged to you accordingly, except for deliveries to China, please see below. After you have entered a delivery address outside the EU your shopping bag will show an amount called “VAT deducted”, reducing the amount chargeable on your order. This amount represents the VAT that you, as an international customer, do not need to pay.
Customers in the Channel Islands also do not need to pay VAT, and you will see the “VAT deducted” amount at checkout, in the same way as International Customers. For the same reason, we advertise lower delivery charges for sales to the Channel Islands.

Clearing international deliveries through customs
For every package that we prepare for delivery outside the European Union, we will complete a customs declaration form called CN22 and attach it to the outside of the parcel. This form specifies the type and value of goods included in the delivery, and is used to clear the parcel through customs in the destination country. We hope that by completing these forms accurately, we are able to minimise any delay or inconvenience caused by local customs clearance procedures in the country of destination.
International import taxes
Depending on the destination, the information on the CN22 form may be used to calculate local import taxes payable by the recipient. Any such local import taxes vary throughout the world and are outside of our control. We hope that by reducing the prices for international customers by the rate of VAT, the impact of any local import taxes will be offset or minimised.
Deliveries to China
The prices advertised on our website are inclusive of all taxes and duties incurred importing parcels to China. Jellycat pays these taxes on your behalf and nothing further is payable by the customer. For processing parcels through Chinese Customs we are required to collect the reference number and issue date of the Citizen Identity Card of the parcel recipient. The ID details are then used to clear the parcel efficiently through Chinese Customs. UK VAT is not charged on deliveries to China.
